50th Reunion

 

You and your guest are invited to join your oldest friends and classmates in a celebration of the Fifty Years which have passed since we graduated from Kingston High School.

Friday Evening the Eleventh of August there will be an informal  get together at the Comfort Inn of Wilkes Barre to meet and greet each other after the years since we last gathered. 

Saturday Evening the Twelveth of August we will gather at Six  o’clock at the Appletree Terrace in Newberry Estates in honor of all members, graduates  and friends of the class of 1956 and in memory of those no longer  able to join us.  Dinner will be at Six Thirty.   

Sunday the Thirteenth of August there will be casual gatherings of the class and friends at homes and other locations. 

Please make reservations for Saturday Evening at your earliest convenience.  The price will be Fifty Dollars for each  person and will include an open bar until Eleven except for the dinner hour.

Your advance payment in full or in part  will help us meet the deposit required in February for the Appletree Terrace at Newberry Estates.  The site is most easily reached by turning left at the Center Street light in Shavertown and right on Pioneer Avenue.  Newberry Estates is about ¾ mile on the left. 

 


The Appletree Terrace at Newberry Estates is located on Pioneer Avenue just outside the Dallas Borough limits. 

 

 

 

 

The best way to get there is to turn left at the Center Street light in Shavertown and right on Pioneer Avenue.  Newberry Estates is about three quarters of a mile on the left, just before the intersection with Main Street, Dallas. 

 

 

The Comfort Inn of Wilkes Barre is located near the intersection of Route 309 Business and Interstate 81.  This is I-81 exit 165 and is a left turn exit approaching from the south.  They will be providing their lowest available rate for rooms and the use of their public facilities for the informal Friday night gathering of the Kingston High School Class of 1956.  Happy Hour prices are offered to our group all evening.  Popular restaurants are nearby. 

 

To cover our planning expenses and reserve the Appletree Terrace we need your help.  Please make your dinner reservations today and pay in advance if you can. Use the mailing address on the back cover.  Contributions above and beyond the cost of the dinner will be applied to postage and other expenses.  Our website at http://wvevans.net/KHS-56 is a donation.  Also http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KHS_1956/  is an internet group with six members signed up.

 

  

 

Saturday arrangements for the Appletree Terrace at Newberry Estates will be similar to the following sample.  (As you can see from the date the committee has been planning this for quite a while.)  Dinner will be at six thirty.  There will be an open bar from 6:00 until 11:00 except for the dinner hour.
