Play, Training & Support Groups

Corpus Christi Area Playgroup CCMommies welcomes all moms in the Corpus Christi area (Ingleside, Portland, etc.). CC Mommies is a great little group created just for Corpus Christi Mommies to meet other Mommies in our town and get to know one another, plan get-togethers & playdates. And most of all just to make some friends for ourselves & our little ones. 

Coastal Bend Mothers of Multiples: 855-5808 www.cbmom.org Corpus Christi Mothers of Multiples is a support group for families of twins, triplets & more! We meet the first Tuesday of each month at Bayshore Bible Church, 901 Brawner Pkwy. from 7-9pm. Fore more information email cbmomcc@yahoo.com 

HOST Homeschooling Organization of South Texas 361-334-2027  www.stxh.org  The Home Schooling Organization of South Texas is a Christian support group for homeschoolers. We try to serve home- schoolers by providing a  monthly newsletter, regular field trips, weekly positive socialization times (Park Day),  weekly parent support meetings (also Park Day).  Activities such as Science, Fine Arts,  and Geography Fairs to give our  children chances to show what they  have learned. . Bimonthly business meetings, Sept.-May on the 2nd Tues. at 7 p.m.  and a  network of information (locally and in cooperation with other groups). Membership in this organization is contingent on the payment of yearly dues (this year it is $20) and "good standing with the organization."  HOST is governed by an elected Board of Officers.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) MOPS International recognizes that the years from infancy to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban and suburban moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single, and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! La Leche League   www.lalecheleague.org (LLL) meetings offer mothers and expectant mothers an opportunity to learn about breastfeeding and mothering in a casual setting. Each group meets once a month to discuss a breastfeeding topic. Mothers and their babies are welcome to join in the discussion or to just attend. There is an optional membership though no fee is charged to attend the meetings. See the Calendar of Events for these and other meetings.

New Neighbors League (NNL) is a group that welcomes people who have lived in Corpus Christi for less than 1 year.  They hold a Coffee and a Luncheon once a month and have many clubs.  Bunco, Bowling, and Dinner Groups.  If you are interested in finding out more about the New Neighbors League please contact: 888-7355.

Scouting Groups

American Heritage Girls www.ahgonline.org A Christian based scouting program for girls grades K-12. Program emphasizes: Life Skill Enhancement through multi-level badge progarm. Girl leadership, developing teamwork & building self-confidence. Character development through community service and citizenship programs.
