New Art Camp for Moms & Tots! New this summer at the Art Museum of South Texas is a special art camp for children ages 2 - 5 (preschool), modeled on the popular Fine Art of Summer camps for older children. A parent or adult must accompany each child. Class size is limited. Individual sessions are $15 each/$25-nonmembers. Sign up for the whole week and receive a coupon for a free Art Museum Moms & Tots class in the Fall! For more information or to sign up, please call 361/825-3504. The new Young at Art camp will offer five mini-camp sessions from 10 a.m. - 12 noon on July 20 - 24. Each session consists of its own special art project, featured story, and creative dance and/or drama activities. Those signed up for the Monday clay session must take the Wednesday and Friday classes as well. |
Art camp sessions are as follows: Monday, July 20 Fantastic Form (hand-building with clay/ movement and dance) Tuesday, July 21 Squiggles and Giggles (drawing lines and shapes/ creative drama) Wednesday, July 22 Art is Just a Pigment of Your Imagination (learning about color, painting/ movement and dance) Thursday, July 23 A Walk on the Wild Side (creating calm and wild self-portraits/ creative drama) Friday, July 24 Sunny Delight (creating sun prints and sun-catchers/ movement and dance) |
